Kettlebells earn their place in a commercial gym because one piece of kit covers swings, cleans, presses, carries and squats without taking up a square metre more than it has to. The Altrafit range is built for that kind of daily, shared use, sized from 4kg through to 32kg so you can equip a full functional zone from one range and add weights as members progress.
Cast iron or rubber coated?
-
Cast iron kettlebells. The traditional choice. A single cast body with a smooth, wide handle that suits chalk, double hand work and technical lifting. Available 4kg to 32kg.
-
Rubber coated kettlebells. The same profile with a protective outer coat, so drops are quieter and kinder to flooring. Worth the small premium in studios, on upper floors, or anywhere kettlebells sit alongside other equipment. Available 4kg to 32kg.
Storage and floor layout
Loose kettlebells are a trip hazard and a tidy up job that never ends. Our two tier kettlebell rack holds a full ladder in one footprint, off the floor and visible, which in practice means they get put back. It takes up to 300kg across a 121.5 x 44 x 77.5cm frame, so it suits a busy functional area without eating floor space.
If you are laying out a wider functional zone, see our rigs and racks and functional fitness ranges.
Buying kettlebells for a gym or leisure centre
Most operators start with a doubled up spread of the middle weights, since 8kg to 16kg see the heaviest use in classes and inductions, then add single heavier bells at the top end. If you are fitting out a new site or refreshing an existing one, talk to us before you order. We can price a full ladder plus storage as one package and advise on quantities based on your class sizes and floor space.
Kettlebell FAQs
What weight kettlebells should a commercial gym buy?
Most sites get the best use from a doubled up spread of 8kg to 16kg, which covers classes and inductions, plus single bells at 20kg, 24kg, 28kg and 32kg for stronger members.
Are rubber coated kettlebells worth it over cast iron?
In studios, on upper floors or on shared flooring, yes. The coating cuts noise and protects the floor when bells are set down heavily. For a dedicated lifting area with matting, cast iron is the more economical choice.
Do you supply kettlebell storage?
Yes. Our two tier kettlebell rack holds up to 300kg and keeps a full ladder tidy and accessible in a single footprint.
