Pump classes are one of the most reliable formats on a studio timetable, and one of the most demanding on equipment. Every member in the room needs their own bar, their own discs and somewhere to put them, and the whole lot has to be reset between classes. That makes pump the format where storage matters as much as the weights.
Complete sets and components
-
Pump sets. Barbell, discs and collars supplied together, which is the quickest way to equip a room to a known class capacity.
-
10kg pump discs. Sold individually for topping up an existing set or replacing damaged discs rather than buying a whole set again.
-
Cardio pump bars and plates. Lighter components for higher rep conditioning formats and for members who are not ready for a full set.
-
Studio pump collars. Sold in pairs. These are the item that goes missing first, so order spares from the start.
Storage and changeover
A pump set rack holds up to ten sets in one footprint, and a dedicated studio storage rack handles 10kg discs separately. This is the single biggest factor in whether a studio resets on time: if the kit has an obvious home, a class of thirty can clear the floor in the few minutes before the next instructor walks in. If it does not, the room stays cluttered and the next class starts late.
Buying for a timetable
Order by class capacity rather than by range. Everyone in the room is doing the same thing at the same time, so you need enough complete sets for a full class plus a small margin, not a broad spread of options. Count your busiest class, add a couple, and buy the racking at the same time.
