Commercial Dumbbells

Dumbbells are the hardest working kit on any gym floor, and the first thing members notice when it starts to look tired. The Altrafit commercial dumbbell range covers everything from 1kg studio pairs for group exercise through to 60kg urethane pairs for a serious free weight area, all built to survive being dropped, racked and picked up again several hundred times a day.

The ranges

• Urethane dumbbells. Our commercial workhorse, sold in pairs from 2kg to 60kg. Urethane resists tearing and fading far better than rubber, so the heads keep their finish and the gym keeps looking new.
• ALTRAFIT ELEMENTS dumbbells. Pairs from 2.5kg to 60kg in 2.5kg increments, aimed at independent and boutique gyms wanting commercial durability at a sharper price.
• Studio dumbbells. Urethane pairs from 1kg to 10kg and neoprene pairs from 1kg to 8kg, sized for group exercise, rehab and PT work. See the full studio dumbbell range.

Sets and racks

Buying by the set is usually cheaper per kilo and gets you a complete, uninterrupted ladder rather than gaps members have to work around. We supply a 1kg to 10kg urethane set, plus 2kg to 20kg, 22kg to 40kg, 42kg to 50kg and 52kg to 60kg sets, so you can build the range in stages or fit out a full free weight zone in one go.

Pair them with matching storage: five pair and ten pair horizontal racks, a space saving ten pair vertical rack for tighter floors, and a mobile studio rack on wheels for rooms that get reset between classes.

Choosing for your site

As a rule of thumb, the 4kg to 20kg range takes the most punishment and benefits most from urethane. Heavier pairs above 40kg are used less often but need the most robust storage. Dumbbell FAQs

What dumbbell range does a commercial gym need?
A 2kg to 40kg ladder in 2kg increments covers most general facilities. Add 42kg to 60kg pairs if you have a dedicated strength area, and a 1kg to 10kg studio set if you run group exercise.

Urethane or rubber dumbbells?
Urethane costs more up front but resists tearing, fading and odour far better, so it holds its appearance in a busy gym and lasts longer. We supply urethane across the commercial range for that reason.

Do you supply dumbbell racks to match?
Yes. Five pair and ten pair horizontal racks, a ten pair vertical rack for tight floors, and a wheeled studio rack. We can quote dumbbells and storage together as one package.
